Richard Tormoehlen is planning on retiring in the near future. That was one of the reasons he bought a building from Allied Steel.

“I own a dealership for farm equipment,” said Tormoehlen.   “I wanted something to kill the time once I started settling into the twilight of my life.  Actually, with this building that I bought from Allied Steel, I feel as if I am already retired.  I’ve spent so much time working on it, but I am doing it on purpose.  I like taking my time with it, piece by piece, knowing what I will be able to use it for later.” 

Tormoehlen wanted to share the experience with some close family members. 

“It’s great.  I put up every beam.  I got to do this with my son and my grandson.  We put on the roof together.  I’ve taken it a bolt a time, and it’s wonderful since everything fits together so well.”

He liked what Allied gave him so much that he passed it on to others who needed buildings similar to his.

“The structure is quality.  It was the first time that I had purchased a building like this and I was impressed.  It’s held up well against Mother Nature.  I told other people about Allied Steel because they really make good buildings.”

Tormoehlen found every part accurate and in its place.

“All the parts were precise, the bolts fit well in the concrete.  I only used a pinch on the last three purloins.”

With the insulation, he took careful measures to make it just the way he wanted it to be.

“It’s very insulated,” Tormoehlen laughed.  “I probably went overboard, but that’s ok.  I’d rather have it the way I want it to.  Still, I have more work to do, including the electric.  But at least the doors are finished.  It’s something that I am taking one day at a time.”
